It was very disappointing to see, as we were returning to Beaufort from Columbia, how many of our campaign signs had been taken down.   In many cases, our signs had disappeared and were replaced by Joe Wilson signs.  Is this how the Republican Party that I’ve supported for my entire life, campaigns?  Are they afraid of the truth and a fair fight?  Or, will they do anything to hold on to or regain power?  Whoever is doing this, it’s shameful, and only adds fuel to my resolve to campaign and spread the truth.   Let us not forget that the party leadership that Joe Wilson answers to, were recently found entertaining their “big wigs” at a strip club with money donated by good, hard-working people like you and me.  This is why I chose to run as an Independent.  The Republican Party has become as corrupt, money-loving and power-mad as their constituents, the Democrats.  I say, “onward to victory!”  I believe it was Thomas Jefferson who said,  “the tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.”  You and me as patriots have shed our blood long enough as professional politicians such as Joe Wilson have lived comfortably off our blood and the sweat of our brows.  It’s time that we shed some “political” blood of the tyrants such as Joe Wilson, the Republican Party and the Democratic Party.  You can help spill some of their political blood on November 2^nd by voting for me, and together we will begin to return some sanity to our government.    Marc Beaman, Constitution Party Candidate for U.S. Congress for the 2^nd Congressional District of South Carolina
